This typology not only supports the idea that education extends beyond enclosed classrooms into open spaces, but also establishes a connection with the architectural memory of the Seljuk Period in the city.
The single-storey building, spreading across the parcel up to its construction boundaries, is fragmented into four main volumes in accordance with the kindergarten program: administrative units, classroom blocks, and social spaces. These volumes are interconnected through circulation areas that establish relationships with both the main entrance and the courtyard.
The circulation spaces also function as extensions of the classrooms, transforming into play areas that support educational activities. During the summer months, the courtyard’s glass partitions can be fully opened, allowing indoor and outdoor play areas to operate as a unified space.
Structurally, the main volumes are constructed with a reinforced concrete system, while the circulation areas and the roof are resolved with a steel structural system supported by the concrete framework.
