Located in Gümüşhacıköy, Amasya, GHK Animal Shelter is designed to accommodate 200 dogs. The project establishes a functional and controlled spatial organization that addresses the animals' shelter and care needs while supporting the daily operations and supervision of veterinary staff.

The building's circular layout creates a sheltered internal environment in response to the region's harsh climatic conditions, organizing the accommodation units around a central space. This arrangement establishes visual connections between the units, facilitating observation and supporting daily care routines. The inner courtyard serves as a shared outdoor space, connecting different parts of the building.

Preserving the existing trees on the site is a key consideration in the project's layout. The building and outdoor spaces are arranged in relation to the natural landscape, providing dedicated areas for the animals' movement, rest, and training. With a cross-laminated timber (CLT) structural system and pumice block partition walls, the project integrates material and construction decisions with its functional requirements to create a cohesive animal shelter environment.
